Blogging in the USA

Day 4 in the USA - loving this country so convenient, even the bagels are pre sliced for ease, the drive thru banking is just amazing , it is probably easy to do your whole shopping experience without stepping out of your car.. I must say there is much laziness going on in the USA! but for awhile, while I am in the US I shall be using these facilities to the max.. including drive through Starbucks !

The heat is fab, consistently above 85 degrees, but you kinda feel by the end of the day you have run a marathon, as the heat kinda exhausts you ! not that I am complaining mind you .. give me heat any day over the cold greyness that is the UK. People still are fascinated by my British accent, and ordering stuff in restaurants etc can sometimes prove a challenge, specially where I am off the beaten track a little bit away from Orlando ..
but hey I don't mind repeating myself 5 times to make myself understood ! signing off to go do some more shopping in this 24/7 culture .. it is fab

Hot Florida

Life in America seems so easy and convenient.. Have been driving around in the convertible and loving every minute it of it.. The shopping is such a joy here and have already spent far too much money, and have only been here 3 dyas !! Hot hot hot is how I describe the weather with a rain shower for the first time today . It is a delight not to have to go to work and I feel that I am well and truly in holiday mode, I have eaten much good food, but as yet I have not made it to the Cheesecake factory which is such a disappointment ! but I aim to make it by the end of our trip .

Well am signing off for now, and hope the readers of my blog are having a good time back in little ol' England.

The random title of blog today comes care of Mr B - so thank you . I officially feel so very stuffed to my eyeballs, I cannot even list in this blog how much I have eaten today, and none of it resembled health food !! but boy it was fab.

I feel like I am ranting on about my hair, but it is my last day of long hair! tomorrow the big day, and I promise no more rambling .. that is unless I hate my new hairstye and then there will be many tears dropping into Betty the laptop as I type !

Two days left at work.. YIPPEE but full on day of interviews tomorrow but then I am sure the day will race past.. looking forward to arriving in Florida.. we have hired a convertable sebring car, so hopefully the thunderstorms will hold off so we can make full use of the roof down !

Hairdryer

I guess hairdressing is on my mind, since my haircut is a day away ! Can't even imagine what I will look like as I have not had short hair for soooo many years.. I am grateful to my good friend who will escort me to the hair salon, so I don't bottle it !!

Looking forward to going to work tomorrow as it is buffett day.. which means a day of grazing on all foods that are unhealthy ! but I guess it is a big celebration for Virgin Atlantic so it is allowed !

Not sure why this is the longest day as it is 09.55 and it is a bit dark !! I cannot believe that we going into shorter days as of now.. I guess winter will be here soon !!! I refused to be depressed as the nice sun is making me happy !!

What a glorious sunny summer afternoon, it lifts your spirits to see the sun, here's hoping it lasts many weeks!! Sunday afternoon once again, I gues I am reaching my 3rd week anniversary of blogging.. and I guess I write the most on sundays, just more time to blog, then the mad rush that is the midweek lifestyle !

Am v nervous , as I am off to the hairdresser to get my hair chopped off this week, I guess I have grown attached (pardon the pun) to my long hair ! but it is time to branch out for a new look after quite a few years ! I feel like I should be throwing a farewell party for my long hair !!

Fairly busy week ahead, but only 5 days of work then I have 10 days off YIPPEE !!! USof A here I come

I am a bit of a failure at blogging , it has been a whole week since blogging.. I guess it has been a super busy week, I cannot believe once again it has rushed past in a blur. Not much to say today though, feel a bit pooped, and lack a bit of inspiration, maybe my creative streak will return tomorrow.

What a glorious sunday afternoon, sunny and lovely, have been out and about in the latest family member - Ruby the Alpha, was a nice drive - v.sporty and v v nippy I guess I have never driven a sports car, so this is a new experience for me.

Feel a bit fragile today, had a lovely Sat evening but drank a little too much Oyster Bay wine ! so feel a bit headachy, was at the LGW drive-thru Macdonalds by 0845am this morning try to fight the hangover with an Sausage-Egg Mcmuffin, which was quite nice I must say.. and helped a little! My friend threw a mean bar-b-que lovely food, was nice for hubby to mix a little with work colleagues, so he can put names to faces..

Can't believe Monday morning is already on its way .. three day weekend is definately what I want..

Blumper

I love the word blogging, it is almost an equal favourite to the word blumper. well here I sit again at 0700 on Sat morning, I have resigned myself to the fact that I am an early bird !! Lovely sunshine today, and a v excited husband who is off to collect his new car.. I guess I will never fully understand men and their cars, I mean if we were going off to collect a new 42 inch plasma tv I certainly would be v v excited !!

Off to celebrate a birthday for my good friend at her Bar B Que..today, am looking forward to the first Bar-B-que of the summer season, I am planning to take my umbrella ... sure would not have this problem if I was having an Aussie Bar-b-que !!

Lime mayonnaise

Well I am not sure what is going on with my sandwich today, it has lime mayonnaise in it,
which sounds nice and exotic, but it really is not that good.. I would recommend everyone to just stick with just plain old mayonnaise.

I am in a funny place today, just a bit neither here nor there , just probably in a bit of a daze, I think I am in revolt mode, as I feel I should be out doing something fun in the sun, as opposed to sitting inside my office looking out at the sunny day outside.

Am not in serious blogging mode today, ( I hope the novelty is not wearing off!!!) so I am off to do something else .

Popularity contest

Well I feel like I need to attract some more bloggers to come and post comments on my site, but maybe I am selfish as I have not been on to others's site to post blogs ( except for my dear colleagues at work who are in the "I started blogging last week club")

May be I need to randomly scan others sites and get commenting !, I welcome all comments whether they be good or bad, as I am a v open minded person and like to hear others views. I guess in essence I am a good listener, or is it that I am just a plain nosy type of person !! I truly believe the art of listening is not so common amongst people on earth.

Slightly on a different topic I am off to Atlanta, Georgia at the end of the month, I need to have a bit of pre-arrival destination information gathering exercise .. so I am equipped with some info- so I guess I need to get surfing and reading up on the "top 10 things to do in Atlanta"

Chocolate

Feeling a bit sick at the moment - ate a a slab of Cadburys rum and raisin chocolate- which really is a bit pathetic as I have just been to the gym, so I undid all my good work. Why is it so tough to stick with a diet, but I guess I should look on the bright side that I ran off a few calories, to make room for the chocolate !

Am just waiting for Celebrity Love Island to start, I hate to admit it, but I am kinda hooked, in 2 years (if I am still blogging) I will look back at my ramblings and be embarassed that I wasted my time on such rubbish telly ! I wonder what my life will look like in a couple of years ! hopefully living in a big mansion in some hot climate, having my nails done and having coffee mornings at starbucks with my girlfriends..

Random

It's lunch time - time to blog

Well I feel most envious that my colleague Mr B has a theme for his blogging (which by the way he has blown my secret identity by keeping calling me Adele!!) anyway I am not so organised to have a theme running through my site, I am by far too random a person to stick with one thing, I just kinda go where the wind blows (which I wish it was blowing me the Bahamas to stay at the Atlantis- right about now) Anyway I must say I have enjoyed my lunch, turkey escalope ( what sort of word is that!) in a baguette with lettuce and mayo witha side of roast potatoes.. this is not the most healthy of lunch, but boy delicious !! I wish I could be motivated by healthy food and have a lettuce sandwich with wholemeal bread and feel fulfilled, but that will never be the case !!
Anyway I am off to surf other rubbish websites, and will blog again soon

Sun afternoon naps

Well it is already sunday early evening, the weekends always speed through at 100 miles an hour, had a nice visit from my friend from Nashville, Tennessee, we ate lots and caught up, which is fab. Husband bought his new car yesterday, it is an Alfa Romeo GTV, he is v excited, I feel I have had to move over a little in his affections to make room for his new baby !! he has now named her Ruby because she is red...

Feel a little pooped, aren't Sunday afternoons fab, as you can pop your head down for an afternoon nap. Kinda wish I had that opportunity every day of the week, often at work I hit a wall and want to put my head down on the desk for a nap ! not sure my boss would approve though.

The Music

Isn't it funny how your body gets into a routine, and once in that routine, it takes an age to break it. Having spent 1 year travelling around the M40, M25 and M23 at 06.00 am to get to work, I cannot break the cycle of being awake at 05.00am every morning, and now that we have moved to the same town as where I work, I am still up at 05.00, hence while my husband is still is asleep, I am blogging at this unearthly hour ! Am making the most of this quiet time though, by blogging and listening to the latest downloads on the laptop. Need to go and make tea shortly, as that is another routine, how our lives are ruled by these routines.!

Dilemma

Well I sit here on Friday afternoon, willing the weekend to start, so I can get on with some fun. Has been a long old week, but since discovering the joys of blogging this friday lunch time, I feel I want to rush home and blog some more, as maybe it is not appropriate to blog away the afternoon. I currently am drinking hot chocolate, which my kind colleague Stephen made for me, now let me think about Stephen for a moment, we spend most of our time play-arguing in the workplace, it does provide entertainment but maybe I need to be more professional and not muck about.. but there again life is too short to be dull and polished and professional at every moment !! Isn't is funny how your your thoughts jump about, which I guess is the whole point of blogging, to capture thoughts. Anyway now I am thinking of raiding the vending machine for a mint aero.. (where is my purse !)
