Yippee - Holiday tomorrow !!

Yes at last holiday time has arrived at last, a Thanksgiving trip to see family in sunny Florida,
am looking forward to being a bit warm too !!

A crazy busy day at work, as well as a trip into London for a conference, which ironically was talking a bit about the world of blogging, I was happy to be fully appraised of the blog world and know exactly what the lecturer was talking about, whilst others in the room looked a tad confused !!
Blog is short tonight, as I am super pooped and am heading off to bed !!

Discoverd Hotel Chocolat shop at the weekend.. wow this is a cool place for chocoholics - like me- Diet seems to have gone to the wall - a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts are in my car waiting to go to work tomorrow for the team, I am tempted to go and eat a few, but am resisting, hence I put them in the car to try and keep them out of easy reach !!

Went to London today for some meetings - I cannot say how grateful I am that I do not have to commute into London everyday- cramming yourself onto over crowded trains that smell kinda funky is absolutey no joy whatsoever, and then to be charged an arm and a leg for the privilige of standing like a sardine is terrible. It is absolutely no wonder that the government is losing the battle of trying to get the public to use their cars less, as there is just not a viable, dependable alternative form of public transport, they need to get smarter in the services they offer, not just keep charging passengers more and more for such a dismal service....sorry rant over - I am

Nancy Pelosi... Hilary Clinton -- watching the news and it is full of all things American- Changes are certainly afoot - woman in such powerful positions - is it a matter of time till there is a woman in the White House ??

At work

I am taking a rare 5 mins at work to update my blog - our laptop at home takes an age to load up , so I often find myself not blogging as I cannot be bothered to go through the whole faff of
getting the laptop up and running .

What a brisk day here in littl' old England - freeeezing is a word I would also use ! scraping the heavy frost ( well actually it was ice!) off my car was how I started my day, I was told upon arrival at work that other people's boyfriends/husbands had pre-scraped the ice off, for their partners, I feel I now need to re-train my husband on providing this service for me ...

Everyone is gearing up for holidays in my department, the common theme in all their chosen destinations is - THE SUN - all warm places to get away from this freezing place we call home.
The bonus for me at this time of year though is roll neck jumpers (also known as turtle necks) - this is my favourite piece of clothing and I must say I have already bought 1 or 2 for this winter season as GAP has a great variety on offer which I am most impressed with.

Have not mentioned food yet - how remiss of me ! - Went to Chinatown in London on Saturday night , I have discovered a dish made entirely of aubergines (also known as eggplant) this is my favourite vegetable, and very rarely do you see it on a chinese menu - so I was in heaven ..
