At work

I am taking a rare 5 mins at work to update my blog - our laptop at home takes an age to load up , so I often find myself not blogging as I cannot be bothered to go through the whole faff of
getting the laptop up and running .

What a brisk day here in littl' old England - freeeezing is a word I would also use ! scraping the heavy frost ( well actually it was ice!) off my car was how I started my day, I was told upon arrival at work that other people's boyfriends/husbands had pre-scraped the ice off, for their partners, I feel I now need to re-train my husband on providing this service for me ...

Everyone is gearing up for holidays in my department, the common theme in all their chosen destinations is - THE SUN - all warm places to get away from this freezing place we call home.
The bonus for me at this time of year though is roll neck jumpers (also known as turtle necks) - this is my favourite piece of clothing and I must say I have already bought 1 or 2 for this winter season as GAP has a great variety on offer which I am most impressed with.

Have not mentioned food yet - how remiss of me ! - Went to Chinatown in London on Saturday night , I have discovered a dish made entirely of aubergines (also known as eggplant) this is my favourite vegetable, and very rarely do you see it on a chinese menu - so I was in heaven ..

    Mrs K!

You should have let me know you were venturing into London - I have a fab Chinese restaurant recommendation for you. Still, looks like you found your ideal place - aubergine heaven!

MMMMM!!!! Eggplant is one of my all-time favorites too! Chinese sauces and cooking methods do it justice. It is so sweet. Think I'll get some eggplant today!

In lil' ole Boston, things are getting a bit nippy as well. We are into pumpkin season here. Luckily Pomegranites (sp?) are imported en mass from California and other parts for our November pleasure. I may not love the onvent of all this cold weather but the autumn food certainly is worth it!

It sounds like you have a bit more cold than us right now. Good luck! We'll get our dose soon I'm sure!
